After having traveled to Cape Town on business for so many years, sitting in offices in town or restaurants at the Waterfront, I never really had the opportunity or the real urge to go to the top of Table Mountain. But this time, with the family pushing me, I did and discovered some of the magic allure it carries around the world.

We had been here the day before, but it had been closed for maintenance. With the wind blowing and the blanket covering the top we made it up and the mystery revealed itself. A special place where dreams come true and people stand in awe of natures wonder.

The mist cleared for a moment and revealed this couple standing  on the ledge with a cloud as a back drop, taking a series of pics, I soon released they were getting engaged. A dream come true for someone I suppose. OK, sounds cynical, but mailed them the pic afterwards with no response, OOPS!!!.

The mist and sun play a beautiful game up here with endless opportunities to haul the camera out. Almost looks like the girls had a light bulb moment together. They are so bright 🙂

We had an awesome time up here, with the girls almost being tempted into abseiling, ok, only because the boys were hot I suppose.

20 years on and I discovered this special spot. Sad…
